Second-Round Play Suspended at The Farms Invitational

 

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. --- Second-round play was suspended Monday due to darkness in The Farms Collegiate Invitational at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

UC Irvine was in second place following Monday morning's first round with a score of 291, one shot behind SMU in the nine-team field.  San Francisco was third at 295.

UCI senior Jacob Schulze shot 1-under 71 in the opening round and was in seventh place. 

Jonathan Young was in eighth at 72, Bryan Shin and Johnny Hyun were 15th at 74 and Ryan O'Connor was 22nd at 75.  Chris Parkinson, competing as an individual, shot a 77 and was in 37th place.

San Diego's Nick Baines shot a 4-under 68 and was the individual leader.

The second round is expected to resume at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, immediately followed by the final round.
