San Luis Obispo, Calif. -- UC Irvine is in 16^th place after the first day of the Bruin Wave Invitational at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.

The Anteaters shot a 36-hole total of 633 (309-324) on Monday. UCLA, one of the tournament co-hosts, shot even par 576 (289-287) to lead the field by 10 strokes heading in to the final round.

Samantha Chan is tied for 40^th with a score 155 (78-77) followed by Kelsey Kawaguchi at 52^nd with a two-round total of 157 (75-82). Camille Wagg is tied for 66^th at 159 (77-82), Breanne Jones is tied for 81^st at 165 (79-86) and Kristin Henno is in 83^rd with a score of 167 (84-83).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Wednesday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
