Men's Tennis Swept at No. 4 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- UC Irvine fell to 6-4 on the season after losing, 7-0, to a stout No. 4 UCLA squad Saturday morning at Los Angeles Tennis Center.

The Bruins (8-2) rolled through doubles with a pair of 6-3 set wins for the early 1-0 advantage.

Singles saw UCLA win each opening set over the 'Eaters (6-4), and sweep at five spots including the clincher from No. 80 Gage Brymer.

Nico Mertens put up a fight against No. 37 Martin Redlicki at No. 2 singles forcing a third set before eventually succumbing.

The 'Eaters rest for a week now before getting back on the court Thursday, March 3 with a neutral site match set against Boise State.
