UC Irvine Slips on Day 2 of Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, Calif. --- UC Irvine slipped three spots in the team standings on the second day of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club in Palm Desert.

The Anteaters shot 302 Saturday and are in 18th place at 608 entering Sunday's final round.  Kansas leads the field at 575, Texas Tech is second at 580 and Colorado third at 581.

Senior Jacob Schulze shot a 2-over 74 and is in 27th place with a 36-hole score of 149.  Sophomore Jonathan Young is 50th at 151 after a 78 Saturday and junior Bryan Shin is 55th at 152 following a 74 in the second round.

Sophomore Johnny Hyun (76) is in 90th place at 157 and redshirt freshman Chris Parkinson (78) is 95th at 158.

Sean Walsh of Gonzaga is the individual leader at 5-under 139 after shooting a 1-under 71 Saturday.

Final-round action begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
