UC Irvine Finishes Ninth At Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollagiate

Palm Desert Calif. – UC Irvine finished ninth at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate held at the Classic Club.

The Anteaters shot a 54-hole total of 921 (306-307-308) to end the tournament in ninth place. UC Riverside won the team title with a score of 894 while Cal State Fullerton's Martina Edberg captured medalist honors at 211 (76-68-67).

Sophomore Breanne Jones led the Anteaters with a 21st place finish. Jones shot a three round total of 230, shooting a team-best 73 on the second round. Sophomores Kelsey Kawaguchi (77-79-76) and Camille Wagg (75-79-78) were tied for 33rd with a score of 232. Junior Samantha Chan finished in 37th place with a score of 233 (79-76-78) and senior Kristin Henno was tied for 38th at 234 (76-82-76). Freshman Joy Kim was tied for 81st playing as an individual with a score of 276 (97, 92, 87)

UCI will travel to New Mexico State Aggie Invitational Oct. 5-7 at the NMSU Golf Course.
