NORWALK, Calif. --- For the second straight day, UC Irvine senior Mason Miller set a new school record in the shot put.
Miller recorded a mark of 58-10 ¼ in Saturday's Beach Invitational to finish fourth in the event at Cerritos College, eclipsing his 24-hour-old record of 58-5 ¼ that he posted at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday.
UCI's Kyle Hubbard finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles Saturday with a personal-best time of 52.76. He also recorded a PR in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.53 to place 12th. Oliver Pham placed 23rd in 15.03.
Mike Graf had a 13th-place finish of 156-7 in the javelin throw.
At the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday, sophomore Lloyd Sicard finished 10th overall (third collegian) in the 110-meter hurdles in 13.78. That time would have been a school record, but was wind-aided (+2.5).
The 'Eaters return to action May 1-2, hosting the 21st adidas/Steve Scott Invitational.
