VALENCIA, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team finished 10th in the Jones Invitational that concluded Tuesday at Valencia Country Club.
UCI finished with a 54-hole total of 890 as USC won the team title at 850. Kennesaw State placed second at 866 and Northwestern was third at 870.
Anteater freshman David Kim registered his best collegiate performance, finishing fifth with a three-round total of 2-under 214 after a 72 Tuesday.
Freshman Jonathan Young shot 77 in the final round to place 35th, senior Pete Fernandez (78) was 48th, junior Jacob Schulze (77) 55th and sophomore Bryan Shin (79) 63rd.
Winthrop's Zach Seabolt was the individual champion at 8-under 208, defeating USC's Sean Crocker in a playoff.
The 'Eaters return to action Mar. 2-3 in the Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.
