LOS CABOS, Mexico --- UC Irvine struggled in Monday's second round of the Cabo del Sol Intercollegiate and fell to seventh place after 36 holes.
The Anteaters shot 302 and have a two-round total of 588. Georgia State leads at 570, Georgia Southern is second at 572 and UT Arlington is third at 575 in the 10-team tournament.
Sophomore David Kim is in 10th place at 143 to lead UCI after he shot an even-par 72 Monday on the Cabo del Sol Desert Course.
Senior Jacob Schulze carded a 77 and is 21st at 147, sophomore Johnny Hyun (79) is 30th at 149, sophomore Jonathan Young (74) is 39th at 153 and junior Bryan Shin (79) is in 42nd place at 154.
Tyler Kertson of Santa Clara is the individual leader at 6-under 138 after shooting a 4-under 68 in the second round.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday on the Cabo del Sol Ocean Course.
