UC Irvine Closes Out Fall Schedule With 19th Place Finish

Boulder City, Nevada – UC Irvine finished the fall schedule with 19th place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown held at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.

The Anteaters shot a three-round total of 893 (301-295-297). The team's second round of 295 was tied for the lowest round of the season and the 893 score was the best 54-hole total of the fall. Vanderbilt won a play-off with host UNLV (831), while Tennessee's Anna Newell had three rounds in the 60s and earned medalist honors (198).

Junior Samantha Chan led the team with a score of 215 (72-70-73) which was tied for 51st. Chan's 54-hole total was the best for an Anteater this year. Sophomore Camille Wagg was tied for 96th at 225 (76-75-74), followed by Breanne Jones in 102nd place with a total of 227 (77-76-74), Kristin Henno in 104th position at 231 (81-74-76) and Kelsey Kawaguchi in 105th place at 232 (76-77-79).

The Anteaters are idle until The Gold Rush on Feb. 22-23 at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, Calif.
