IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine, the defending Big West Conference regular-season champion, will be featured across several television platforms during the 2014-15 season.
UCI is guaranteed at least nine television exposures with several other wild-card possibilities during the regular season.
The 'Eaters will be shown on the Pac-12 Networks in games at Arizona (Nov. 19) and Oregon (Dec. 29).
The Big West opener against Long Beach State Jan. 8 at the Bren Events Center will be on Prime Ticket, as well as the Jan. 15 game at Cal State Fullerton.
UCI's game at CSUN Jan. 22, home games versus Cal Poly Jan. 29 and UC Davis Feb. 5, and a road contest at UC Riverside Feb. 14 will be carried on ESPN3.
The Feb. 19 game against Hawai'i from the Bren Center will be on Prime Ticket.
UCI is also in the mix for four "Wild Card" games that will be selected 3-4 weeks prior to the event for coverage on ESPNU, ESPN2, ESPN3 or Prime Ticket.
Those games are home contests against UC Riverside Jan. 10 and UC Santa Barbara Jan. 31, and road match-ups versus Long Beach State Feb. 7 and UC Santa Barbara Feb. 28.
Fifth-year head coach Russell Turner's UCI squad has 12 players, including four starters, returning from last season's conference-championship team.
The 'Eaters were 23-12 overall and 13-3 in Big West play last season, with the 23 wins tying for the second-most in program history. UCI competed in the NIT for its second consecutive postseason appearance.
UCI ranked third in the nation in field-goal percentage defense (.374) and fourth in total blocked shots with a school-record 224 last season.
