Yorba Linda, Calif. -- UC Irvine finished sixth at The Gold Rush presented by Farmers Insurance at the Yorba Linda Country Club Tuesday.
The Anteaters shot a three-round total of 926 (300-314-312) to place sixth. Gonzaga won the title with a score of 893 (294-298-301). Gonzaga's Alice Kim earned medalist honors with a score of 215 (69-71-75).
Freshman Kaley In led UCI with a 17th place finish, carding a 230 (75-78-77). Sara Banke was 23rd with a 54-hole score of 232 (80-76-76), while Ronnie Valerio was tied for 24th at 233 (74-79-80) and Taryn Yee was tied for 27th at 235 (72-83-80). Samantha Chan was tied for 34th with a score of 239 (79-81-79). Brenna Carlson tied Chan with a 239 (80-82-77).
The Anteaters will compete at the Big West Championships, beginning on Sunday (Apr. 13) at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.
