SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- UC Irvine is in seventh place following Monday's first two rounds of the OGIO-UCSB Intercollegiate at Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara.
UCI has a 36-hole total of 591 in the 10-team tournament. UC Santa Barbara is first with 579, Sacramento State is second at 582 while Air Force and Long Beach State are tied for third at 583.
Casey Halliday of Utah is the individual leader at 4-under 140 after rounds of 72 and 68.
UCI's Ryan Knapp and Pete Fernandez are tied for 21st place at 147. Knapp opened with a round of 78 and then shot a 3-under 69 in the afternoon. Fernandez had rounds of 74-73.
Travis Russell is in 29th place at 148 (73-75), Bhuvan Potluri is 31st at 149 (74-75) and Ryan O'Connor is 58th at 158 (80-78).
Bryan Shin, competing as an individual, is 43rd at 152 (79-73).
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
