IRVINE, Calif. --- The 'Eaters came back from an early deficit to sweep the doubleheader Tuesday with a 4-3 win over Richmond at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

The Spiders wrapped up the doubles point with a 7-5 tiebreaker win at No. 1 singles to overtake Ryan Cheung and Shuhei Shibahara.

UC Irvine stormed back in singles with straight-set wins from Jonathan Hammel and Shuhei Shibahara. Ryan Cheung would complete the comeback after being down a set to take it in three, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3, and grab the fourth point.

UCI (6-9, 0-1) is back at Anteater Tennis Stadium Thurs. Mar. 13 at 3:00 p.m. against Radford.
