UC Irvine Men's Volleyball Representatives Visit White House

Irvine, Calif. -- A delegation representing UC Irvine's last three men's volleyball national championships will join a celebration honoring NCAA champions at the White House today at approximately 12:15 p.m. PT.

The delegation will also include Chancellor Michael Drake and Athletics Director Michael Izzi, who will deliver an invitation to the President to be the keynote speaker at the university's commencement on June 14, 2014.  The commencement will commemorate President Lyndon B. Johnson's dedication of the campus in June 1964 and will kick-off the university's 50th Anniversary celebration.

UC Irvine is the two-time defending champion and has won four of the last seven national titles in Division I men's volleyball. The Anteaters have captured the crown in 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2013.
