IRVINE, Calif. --- Third baseman Taylor Sparks, already a three-time preseason All-America vote-getter, added a fourth award to his 2014 resume as Baseball America recognized the junior with a first team nod.

The lone Big West representative on the first team, Sparks received spots on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game preseason teams.

Sparks is also ranked in Baseball America's Top 50 prospect list and comes in at No. 19 among the junior class.

The Anteaters open the season Feb. 14 against Fresno State with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark.
