SOMIS, Calif. --- UC Irvine is tied for ninth place after the first two rounds of the Jones Invitational at Saticoy Country Club in Somis.
The 'Eaters and Washington State have 36-hole totals of 621. USC is in first at 585, San Diego State is second at 589 and San Diego is third at 592.
Anthony Paolucci of USC and Riccardo Michelini from San Diego State are the individual leaders with 1-under totals of 143 after two rounds Monday.
UCI sophomore Jacob Schulze is in 28th place at 153 (74-79), freshman Ryan O'Connor is 42nd at 157 (77-80) and senior Allan Jun is 46th at 158 (77-81).
Junior Pete Fernandez (76-84) and senior Travis Russell (83-77) are tied for 53rd at 160.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
