● UC Irvine completes a streak of four straight road games Wednesday night at Fresno State. This will be the 38th meeting in the series with the Bulldogs leading 27-10. Fresno State defeated UCI, 98-97, in overtime in the season opener at the Bren Center Nov. 8 of last year when Allan Huddleston canned a running jumper from over 40 feet as time expired.
● UCI won the last meeting between the teams in Fresno, 58-51, Dec. 15, 2012, as the Anteaters scored the game's final 12 points. Will Davis II had a then-career high 15 rebounds in the win.
● UCI is 2-16 all-time versus the Bulldogs in the city of Fresno. The 'Eaters' initial win in Fresno was 82-79 at Selland Arena Feb. 18, 1989, when Jeff Herdman scored 29 points, hitting 10 of 13 field goals (5 of 8 threes).
● Fresno State was a member of the Big West Conference from 1970-92
● Coach Russell Turner's Anteaters are coming off an 80-72 win at Loyola Marymount Saturday night as 7-6 sophomore center Mamadou Ndiaye scored a career-high 21 points, hitting 10 of 11 shots, and had five blocked shots. Will Davis II added 17 points and 12 rebounds.
● Following the Fresno State game, UCI hosts Sacramento State Saturday and UT Arlington Dec. 13 before starting another streak of four straight road contests, beginning Dec. 16 at Morgan State.

● As of Monday (of 355 teams ranked), UCI is 27th in the nation in field-goal percentage (.498), 34th in blocked shots per game (5.6) and 38th in assist/turnover ratio (1.33).
● 7-6 sophomore center Mamadou Ndiaye is sixth in the nation in field-goal percentage at .694.
UCI STATS LEADERS
● Sophomore guard Luke Nelson leads UCI in scoring at 12.2 points per game, followed by Mamadou Ndiaye with a 12.0 average and junior guard Alex Young at 10.6
● Senior forward Will Davis II leads the team in rebounding at 6.2 boards per game, followed by Ndiaye at 4.2.
● Nelson tops the team with 25 assists and senior guard Travis Souza has seven steals.
ABOUT FRESNO STATE
● Fourth-year head coach Rodney Terry's Bulldogs are 1-6 on the season following a 64-57 loss to Cal on Sunday.
● Junior guard Marvelle Harris leads Fresno State in scoring at 15.0 points per game and he also tops the team in rebounding average (5.9) and assists (25).
● Redshirt junior guard Julien Lewis is averaging 14.4 points as four Bulldog players have double-figure scoring averages.
ON THIS DATE 20 YEARS AGO
● On this date 20 years ago, Dec. 3, 1994, UCI defeated Pepperdine, 75-68, in the third-place game of the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
● Chris Brown led the Anteaters with 17 points, hitting 5 of 11 threes, while Raimonds Miglinieks scored 15 points and added six assists.
● Michael Tate pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
