UC Irvine Falls on Late Goal at UC San Diego

LA JOLLA, Calif. --- An extra-man goal by UC San Diego late in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference as the sixth-ranked Tritons edged No. 12 UC Irvine, 10-9, in a non-conference game at Canyonview Aquatic Center Saturday.

The Anteaters (13-10) led 8-7 entering the fourth quarter and extended the lead to 9-7 on Lovre Milos' third score of the afternoon with 7:23 remaining in the final period.
