RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Kaycee Holcomb was the top runner for UC Irvine Saturday in the Big West Conference Championship at Riverside.
She finished 16th with a time of 21:35.2 over 6,000 meters at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course as Holcomb was UCI's No. 1 runner for the fourth meet this season.
Alice Yang finished 42nd (22:41.4), Chelsea Schneider was 43rd (22:46.2), Pearl Law 52nd (23:18.1) and Lauren Hall 59th (23:40.1).
Hannah Ruby came in 60th place in 23:41.2, Marthie Ponty was 62nd (23:49.4) and Courtney Sharar 66th (24:40.7).
UC Riverside's Raquel Hefflin was the individual champion with a time of 20:12.6.
UC Davis won the team title with 36 points, Cal Poly was second with 66 and UC Santa Barbara third with 86. UCI placed eighth with 194 points.
The Anteaters travel to Stanford for the NCAA West Regional Nov. 14.
