RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Kaycee Holcomb led UC Irvine for the third meet this season in the Highlander Invitational at Riverside Saturday.

She finished 17^th with a time of 18:18.0 over 5,000 meters at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course.

Chelsea Schneider finished 26^th in 18:39.4, Alice Yang was 37^th in 18:48.9, Hannah Ruby placed 40^th in 18:56.8 and Marthie Ponty was 46^th in 19:07.5.

Pearl Law placed 55^th (19:32.6), Lauren Hall was 56^th (19:36.0) and Aliya Shah 59^th (19:43.7).

Raquel Hefflin's first-place finish (16:46.6) led host UC Riverside to the team title with 42 points. 

UCI placed sixth with 148 points.  San Diego State was second with 63 points and Cal State Fullerton third with 90.

The Anteaters compete at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Invitational Friday (Oct. 24).  UCI journeys back to Riverside Nov. 1 for the Big West Conference Championship.
