SEASIDE, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Allan Jun shot a 1-under par 71 Tuesday as the Saint Mary's Invitational concluded at Bayonet Golf Course.
Jun finished with a 54-hole total of 223 for 25th place, as did sophomore Jacob Schulze, who shot a 75 in the final round of the 'Eaters' season-opening tournament.
Junior Pete Fernandez (83) placed 62nd at 230, junior Bhuvan Potluri (78) was 77th at 233 and senior Travis Russell (76) finished 87th at 236.
Grant Forrest of San Diego was medalist with a three-round score of 7-under 209 after a 69 Tuesday.
California won the team title with a 54-hole total of 854, 30 shots ahead of runner-up Oregon at 884. San Diego was third at 886.
UCI placed 11th in the 19-team tournament with a score of 900 to finish with the best score of the five Big West Conference teams in the field.
The 'Eaters return to action Oct. 6-8 in the Cabo del Sol Intercollegiate at Cabo del Sol Golf Club in Los Cabos, Baja, Mexico.
