Irvine, Calif. – Long Beach State defeated UC Irvine, 309-304 in a dual match held at Strawberry Farms Golf Club Monday.

The teams, who played 18 holes, were comprised of six players with the top five scores figuring in to the final results.

Senior Ronnie Valerio and freshman Luciane Lee each shot a 76 to lead the Anteaters. Sophomore Brenna Carlson recorded a 78, while senior Michelle Park carded a 79 and Sara Banke had a score of 81. Sophomore Taryn Yee played as an individual and shot an 84.

Next, UCI will compete at the Fresno State Lexus Classic Apr. 15-16 at the Almaden Country Club.

This event is not included in the Black & Blue Rivalry Series presented by Duke's of Huntington Beach. The Anteaters currently lead the rivalry series, 18-13.
