NORTHRIDGE, Calif. --- UC Irvine wasted no time in winning its sixth conference match of the season dispatching of CSUN, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Anteaters took the doubles point thanks to and 8-2 win by the 66th-ranked duo in the nation of Kristina Smith and Franziska Goettsching. Marivick Mamiit and Sarah Stadfelt returned to their winning ways with an 8-1 victory in the No. 3 position.
UCI (17-3, 6-0) took the first three singles point with straight set wins from Smith, Goettsching, and Kat Facey.
The 'Eaters come down the home stretch with three more conference matches. First up will be the UC Riverside Highlanders on Friday, April 12th with a 1:00 p.m. match in Riverside.
