IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine sophomore Itos Aikhionbare won a pair of events Sunday in the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational at Anteater Stadium.
She placed first in the discus throw with a mark of 163-4 and also won the shot put at 49-0 ¼. Bridget Devaney finished 10th in the discus with a mark of 130-0.
Kaycee Holcomb placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.35 and Chloe Fata was seventh in 2:17.16.
Paige Bushnell finished fifth of 28 competitors in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.12, fifth-best in UCI history. Megan Benson was ninth in 14.41.
Sakia Sailinuu placed seventh in the 1500 meters in 4:35.76, Samia Sailinuu was ninth in 4:37.53 and Fata 10th in 4:37.58.
The Anteaters' 4x400 relay of Lacey Surak, KayC Wharton, Bushnell and Lauren Hackney finished third with a time of 3:48.17.
The Big West Conference Multi-Event Championships are at Cal State Northridge Friday and Saturday, with the Big West Championships, also hosted by Northridge, May 10-11.
