San Luis Obispo, Calif. -- Junior Ronnie Valerio and senior Michelle Park had top 10 performances to lead UC Irvine to a third place finish at the Big West Conference Women's Golf Championship held at the San Luis Obispo Golf and Country Club.
The Anteaters had a 54-hole total of 922 (311-307-304) and finished third behind UC Davis (881) and Long Beach State (910). The Aggies had the top four players led by individual champion Demi Runas (218).
Valerio carded a three-round total of 226 (76-74-76) and ended in a tie for fifth place, tying her season best finish. Park posted a team-best 75 Tuesday and finished in a tie for seventh with a score of 227 (75-77-75). Freshman Luciane Lee was tied for 17th at 234 (80-78-76), while Sara Banke was tied for 22nd with a score of 235 (80-78-77) and sophomore Brenna Carlson was tied for 28th with a three day total of 242 (83-80-79).
