FRESNO, Calif. --- UC Irvine finished seventh in the Fresno State Lexus Classic that concluded Tuesday at Belmont Country Club in Fresno.
The Anteaters finished with a 54-hole total of 1,087, shooting a 1-under total of 359 Tuesday. California won the 17-team tournament with a three-round score of 1,037, Fresno State was second at 1,074 and BYU third at 1,075.
UCI junior Allan Jun shot a 2-under 70 in the final round and placed fourth at 8-under 208. Michael Kim of California shot a 67 and was medalist at 16-under 200.
Anteater junior Travis Russell shot even-par 72 and was 29th at 218, senior Michael Yang, with a 69 in the final round, was 35th at 219, and sophomore Pete Fernandez finished 44th at 220 after a 79 Tuesday.
Senior Mickey Chan (75) placed 85th at 228 and freshman Jacob Schulze (73) was 93rd at 230.
UCI hosts the 33rd Anteater Invitational Mar. 25-26 at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel.
