San Jose, Calif. -- UC Irvine is in fifth place following the first two rounds at the Juli Inkster Invitational held at the Almaden Golf and Country Club.
The Anteaters shot a 36-hole total of 598 (297-301) and are in fifth place heading into the final round. Stanford leads the 14-team field with a score of 578 (287-291). Cal is in second (587), Washington is in third (590) and NC State is in fourth (596) ahead of UCI.
Freshman Luciane Lee shot a one-under par 71 on the first round and is tied for third with a score of 145 (71-74). Senior Michelle Park is tied for 20th (150), while sophomore Taryn Yee is tied for 30th (152) and junior Ronnie Valerio is tied for 34th (153). Junior Sara Banke is tied for 47th with a two-round total of 156.
The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday beginning with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.
