LOS ANGELES --- UC Irvine turned in several strong performances at the Oxy Distance Carnival Friday night.
Sakia Sailinuu (2:15.07) and Marie Brashears (2:15.14) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 800 meters.
Lauren Hall finished 12th of 75 runners in the event with a time of 2:21.59, Nicole Kent was 21st (2:24.45) and Maggie Newton-Neal 29th (2:26.26).
Kaycee Holcomb placed fifth of 96 competitors in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:34.42 and Samia Sailinuu was seventh in 4:35.78.
Other top-20 finishes for UCI included Maggie McDuffee 12th in 4:36.99 and Chloe Fata 19th in 4:42.14.
