SEATTLE, Wash. --- Sophomore Itos Aikhionbare continued her impressive indoor season Saturday at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash.
Aikhionbare finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 47-1 ½ on the final day of action at Dempsey Indoor for her third top-five finish in as many meets this season.
UCI's Maggie McDuffee placed fifth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:16.62 and Carlotta Pham also was in the top 10, finishing ninth in 10:19.92.
Kaycee Holcomb won her section of the mile run and placed ninth overall with a time of 5:01.99 and Samia Sailinuu was 16th in 5:04.79.
Sakia Sailinuu (2:16.03) and Chelsea Schneider (2:18.94) each placed sixth in their respective sections of the 800 meters.
Kaulyn Lee-McNeill had the Anteaters' top time in the 400 meters at 59.64 while Melanie Speech and Charity Lyons had marks of 16-4 ½ and 16-3 ¾, respectively, in the long jump.
UCI returns to Seattle in two weeks for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championship Feb. 22-23.
