WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team finished eighth in the North Ranch Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
UCI and San Diego tied for eighth with 54-hole totals of 902. USC won the 12-team tournament at 863, BYU was second at 872 and host Pepperdine third at 875.
Yi Keun Chang of USC was medalist with a three-round score of 2-under par 211 after shooting a 73 Tuesday.
UCI sophomore Pete Fernandez placed 15th at 223 after a final round of 77, junior Travis Russell (74) was 30th at 226 and junior Allan Jun (79) 41st at 229.
Freshman Jacob Schulze shot the Anteaters' best score in the final round with a 73 and placed 47th at 231 while senior Michael Yang (81) finished 49th at 232.
UCI is back in action Monday and Tuesday in the Fresno State Lexus Classic at Belmont Country Club in Fresno.
