WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in 10^th place after Monday's first two rounds of the North Ranch Intercollegiate at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

The Anteaters shot a 36-hole total of 599 Monday.  USC leads the field at 564 while host Pepperdine and BYU are tied for second at 574.

USC's Sam Smith is the individual leader at 6-under 136 (65-71) on the par-71 course.

UCI sophomore Pete Fernandez is in 16^th place at 146 (73-73), junior Allan Jun is 33^rd at 150 (74-76) and senior Michael Yang is 36^th at 151 (72-79).

Junior Travis Russell is in 41^st at 152 (77-75) and freshman Jacob Schulze is 58^th at 158 (77-81).

The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
