CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. --- UC Irvine remains in the lead after Monday's second round of The Folino Invitational at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms.
The Anteaters have a 36-hole total of 577 after shooting the low round of the tournament at 287 Monday. Long Beach State is in second place at 583 and Cal State Fullerton is third at 586 in the nine-team tournament.
UCI sophomore Pete Fernandez is in second place at 3-under par 141 after shooting a 2-under 70 Monday on the "Ike" Eisenhower Course.
Junior Travis Russell shot his second straight 1-under round of 71 and is third at 142. Junior Allan Jun shot even-par 72 Monday and is in ninth place at 146.
Freshman Jacob Schulze shot a 74 and is 13th at 148 and senior Michael Yang (77) is 31st at 155.
Senior Mickey Chan, playing as an individual, shot his second consecutive 74 and is tied for 13th at 148.
Sacramento State's Ryan Williams is the individual leader at 5-under 139 after a 70 on Monday.
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
