SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. --- Senior Carlotta Pham led the UC Irvine women's cross country team in the Big West Conference Championship at San Luis Obispo Saturday.

Pham finished 30^th with a time of 23:53.5 over 6,000 meters at the Fairbanks Memorial Cross Country Course.  Laura Hollander of host Cal Poly won the race in 20:43.9.

UCI's Nicole Mendoza finished 39^th in 24:14.3, Kaycee Holcomb was 42^nd in 24:23.1, Hannah Ruby 43^rd in 24:24.4, Alice Yang 44^th in 24:24.9 and Marthie Ponty 46^th in 24:29.1..

Makenna McGrann placed 55^th with a time of 25:11.6, Katie Kass was 58^th (25:19.5) and Mary Follo 66^th (26:34.5).

The Anteaters finished seventh in the team competition with 180 points.  Cal Poly won the conference title with 37, UC Davis was second with 44 and UC Santa Barbara third with 62 points.

UCI travels to Sacramento for the NCAA West Regional Nov. 15 at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.
