OFF THE TEE

The Anteaters will compete in the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate Oct. 7-9 at the New Mexico State University Golf Course.

The three-round tournament will consist of 18-holes each day beginning at 7:30 a.m. (PST) with a shotgun start.

The course will play at par 72 and 6,258 yards.

The 14-team field includes UTEP, North Texas, Nevada, Boise State, BYU, Cincinnati, Cal State Fullerton, Tulsa, Portland State, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah Valley as well as the host Aggies.

This is the 14th consecutive season that the Aggies have hosted this event.

UCI has played in this tourarnament four previous times, capturing the title in 2008 (881) with former All-American Jane Chin earning medalist honors with a score of 212 (70-74-680).

Following the tournament in Las Cruces, UCI ends the Fall schedule with a trip to the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Oct. 27-29 held at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

UCI finished in a tie for second at the Rose City Collegiate at the Langdon Farms Golf Club. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes to due heavy rain.

The Anteaters tied Gonzaga with a two day score of 600 (299-301). Oregon State won the tournament with a 10-over par 586 (293-293).

Sophomore Luciane Lee finished second individually with a two round total of 143 (71-72), coming up one stroke shy of medlaist Anica Yoo from Oregon State 142 (69-73).

Junior Michelle Yang led all players with 28 Pars and posted a 14th place finish with a score of 151 (76-75).

Senior Sara Banke was tied for 20th at 154 (76-78), while senior Ronnie Valerio was tied for 38th at 157 (76-81) and freshman Kaley In tied for 41st in her first collegiate tournament with a score of 158 (82-76).
