            Senior opposite hitter Carson Clark has been named ESPN Zone Anteater of the Week for his stellar performance in the NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship.

 Clark helped UC Irvine to a 3-1 win over No. 4 Penn State in the semifinal with a season-high five aces, as well as nine kills.  In the championship match versus USC Clark shined.   The four-time All-American recorded a match-high 22 kills while hitting .465, eight digs, and three service aces in the 3-0 sweep of the host Trojans.  For his performance, he was awarded the Championship's Most Outstanding Player.

It was UCI's third national title in six years. The Anteaters end the year ranked No. 1 in the country with a 26-5 overall record.
