LA QUINTA, Calif. --- UC Irvine shot even-par as a team Monday and is in fifth place entering Tuesday's final round of the Big West Conference Championship at the La Quinta Mountain Course.
UC Davis shot 8-under Monday and leads the nine-team field with a 36-hole total of 570, followed by Pacific (571), UC Santa Barbara (573), Long Beach State (577) and UCI (579).
Pacific's Alex Edfort is the individual leader with a two-round score of 8-under 136 after his second straight 4-under 68.
UCI junior Michael Yang shot 1-under 71 Monday and is in 10th place at 144, along with sophomore teammate Allan Jun, who shot 73 in the second round.
Redshirt freshman Pete Fernandez, with a 73 Monday, is in 15th place at 145 while redshirt sophomore Ryan Knapp carded a 1-under 71 and is 16th at 146. Junior Mickey Chan shot a 75 and is 40th at 155.
In Tuesday's final round, Chan tees off at 8:15 a.m., Knapp at 8:27 a.m., Fernandez at 8:39 a.m., Yang at 8:51 a.m. and Jun at 9:03 a.m.
