IRVINE, Calif. --- The No. 67 Anteaters used singles dominance to erase a doubles sweep and win, 5-2, over Big West foe Cal State Northridge Sunday afternoon at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UC Irvine (12-5, 4-1) slipped up in doubles play losing all three draws, 8-2, 8-4, and 8-4, to give CSUN the early point.

UCI regrouped in singles in a big way sweeping five of the six matches to take the match back and put it at 4-1 in the Big West conference.

UCI has now won nine of its last 10 matches, and brings that play back home for a Thursday afternoon match against another Big West competitor in UC Riverside for a 1:30 p.m. tilt.
