SAN JOSE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine women's golf team is in fifth place after Monday's two rounds of the Juli Inkster Invitational at Almaden Golf & Country Club in San Jose.
California leads the 12-team tournament with a 36-hole total of 583. UC Davis is in second at 588, Washington third at 596, Oregon fourth at 597 and UCI and San Jose State are tied for fifth place at 604.
UCI's Lalita Patipaksiri is in fourth place with a two-round score of even-par 144, shooting a 1-under 71 in the second round after a 73 in the opening round. She recorded five birdies during her second round.
Michelle Yang is 21st at 151 (74-77), Brenna Carlson is 27th at 155 (78-77), Ronnie Valerio is 29th at 156 (78-78) and Michelle Park is in 38th place at 158 (76-82).
Cal's Daniela Holmqvist is the individual leader at 4-under 140 (71-69).
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
