RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in fourth place following day one of The Farms Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe.
San Diego State leads the 14-team tournament with a 36-hole score Monday of 578, five shots ahead of Saint Mary's (583). Missouri is in third at 595 and UCI fourth at 596.
Anders Engell of Saint Mary's is the individual leader at 5-under 139 (68-71) while San Diego State's Alex Kang is second at 142 (69-73).
UCI's Allan Jun is in 12th place at 147 (74-73) with Pete Fernandez (72-77) and Michael Yang (75-74) tied for 17th at 149.
Mickey Chan is 26th at 151 (74-77) and Bhuvan Potluri 75th at 171 (86-85).
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
