UC Irvine in 13th Place After First Two Rounds of North Ranch Intercollegiate

 

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in 13th place of the North Ranch Intercollegiate after Monday's first two rounds at North Ranch Country Club.

San Diego State leads with a 36-hole total of 573, followed by San Diego at 578 and New Mexico with 584.   UCI shot a two-round total of 629 Monday in cold and windy conditions, with a significant rainfall in mid-afternoon.

San Diego State's Matt Hoffenberg and Alex Kang are tied for the individual lead at 1-under 139 on the par-70 course.

UCI's Allan Jun is in 30th place after shooting 152 (72-80) in the first two rounds.  Michael Yang is in 49th at 158 (81-77) and Pete Fernandez is 57th at 159 (80-79).

Mickey Chan is in 61st place at 161 (82-79) and Bhuvan Potluri 67th at 163 (84-79).

The final round is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
