SEATTLE, Wash. --- The UC Irvine women's indoor track team opened competition Friday in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle.

Senior Amber Middleton just missed qualifying for the final of the 60-meter hurdles as her time of 8.57 was ninth-fastest in the preliminaries with the top eight advancing to Saturday's final.  Kelly Collins recorded a time of 8.94 in her preliminary heat of the 60 hurdles.

The meet concludes Saturday with the first event at 11:00 a.m.
