UC Irvine Finishes Sixth At UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational

Boulder City, Nevada – The UC Irvine women's golf team finished in sixth place at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational at the Cascata Golf Club Tuesday.

The Anteaters finished with a 54-hole total of 923 (305-308-310) in their first tournament of the spring season. 17th-ranked Arizona won the tournament with a score 872 (289-294-289). Arizona's Isabelle Boineau won the individual title with a two-day total of 218 (76-72-70).

UCI was led by redshirt freshman Michelle Yang who shot a team-low 73 on the final round to place in a tie for 20th with a score of 227 (74-80-73). Senior Lalita Patipaksiri was second in pars with 36 during the tournament and finished 22nd overall after carding a 228 (78-73-77). Sophomore Sara Banke shot a 237 (79-76-82) and finished in a tie for 35th. Sophomore Ronnie Valerio was tied for 40th with a score of 238 (81-79-78) and junior Michelle Park was 43rd with a total of 240 (74-82-84).

Next, UCI will participate in the Juli Inkster Invitational Mar. 5-6 at the Almaden Country Club.
