RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Senior Chloe Fata was UC Irvine's top runner in the Highlander Invitational at the UC Riverside Agricultural/Operations Course Saturday.
Fata covered the 4,000-meter course in 14:14.8 to finish 14th, followed directly by teammate Colleen Lillig in 15th place with a time of 14:16.6 AS Damajeria Dubose of UCR won the race in 13:32.7.
UCI sophomore Kaycee Holcomb placed 19th in 14:31.3, Camille Maron was 21st in 14:36.6 and Carlotta Pham 24th in 14:45.7.
Freshmen Makenna McGrann (14:54.8) and Katherine Kass (14:59.7) were 28th and 31st, respectively.
The host Highlanders won the team title with 27 points, USC was second with 49, Wyoming third with 54 and UCI fourth with 93.
The Anteaters are at Cal State Fullerton Friday for the Titan Invitational before venturing back to Riverside for the Big West Conference Championship Oct. 27.
