TUCSON, Ariz. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team finished seventh in the Arizona Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday at Arizona National Golf Club.
UCI and Central Arkansas tied with 54-hole totals of 883. Host Arizona won the tournament by one shot with a score of 835 and California was second at 836. New Mexico was third at 850 in the 12-team field.
New Mexico's John Catlin was medalist with a three-round total of 10-under 203 after a final-round 67.
Allan Jun led UCI with a 10th-place finish of 212 following his 2-under 69 Tuesday. Pete Fernandez also shot a 69 in the final round to place 14th at 214.
Mickey Chan, with a 74 Tuesday, was 38th at 225, Michael Yang (76) finished 61st at 232 and Jae Kang (86) was 76th at 251.
The 'Eaters return to action Feb. 27-28 in the Pepperdine Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
