TUCSON, Ariz. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team is in eighth place following Monday's first two rounds of the Arizona Intercollegiate at Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson.
UCI has a 36-hole score of 595. Host Arizona leads the 12-team tournament at 554, California is second at 556 and Pepperdine is third at 572.
John MacArthur of Pepperdine is the individual leader at 8-under 134 after rounds of 68-66.
UCI's Allan Jun is in 16th place at 143 (67-76), Pete Fernandez is 19th at 145 (73-72) and Mickey Chan is 46th at 151 (77-74).
Michael Yang is in 67th place at 156 (78-78) and Jae Kang is 75th at 165 (81-84).
The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday.
