SEASIDE, Calif. --- UC Irvine is in 11th place after Monday's first two rounds of the Saint Mary's Invitational at Seaside, Calif.
UCI, competing in its season opener, has a 36-hole total of 610 following rounds at the Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Courses.
Oregon leads the 15-team field at 567, UAB is in second at 576 and San Francisco is third at 588.
Chris Russo of Cal State Northridge is the individual leader at 7-under 137 (68-69). Oregon's Daniel Miernicki is in second at 140 while three players are tied for third at 142.
UCI junior Michael Yang is in 24th place at 149 (74-75) and sophomore Allan Jun is 39th at 152 (80-72).
Redshirt freshman Pete Fernandez (80-77) and redshirt sophomore Ryan Knapp (84-73) are tied for 59th place at 157 while junior Mickey Chan is 70th at 159 (87-72).
The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
