NorCal Tournament Information

STOCKTON, Calif. --- Mitch Wise scored a game-high four goals but sixth-ranked UC Irvine fell to No. 5 Pacific, 10-7, Sunday morning in Stockton.

The 'Eaters (8-2) will face UC Santa Barbara in the seventh-place game at 1:20 p.m. today.

Pacific built a 4-1 lead midway through the second quarter before Wise notched his first goal of the day on a power-play opportunity with 3:53 left in the half to pull UCI within two goals.  The Tigers then scored two straight goals to go up 6-2 at the break.

Alan Robertson (5:20) and Wise (2:42) scored consecutive goals in the third quarter to cut the deficit to two once again before Pacific's Lance Morrison and Wise traded scores for a 7-5 Pacific lead after three periods.

Balasz Erdelyi and Goran Tomasevic scored back-to-back goals to open the fourth, giving the Tigers a 9-5 lead and Pacific held on for the win.

Alex Kazmier started in goal for the 'Eaters and recorded eight saves in the first half while Jimmy Friedrich had four stops in the second half.

Erdelyi, Tomasevic and Tom Koning led the Tigers with three goals each.  Alex Malkis had 16 saves in goal for Pacific.
