UC Irvine Inks Parker Spees

November 13, 2025

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine head men's basketball coach Russell Turner announced the signing of 6-9 forward Parker Spees.

Spees, from Fresno, Calif., earned first-team All-County Metro Athletic Conference honors at San Joaquin Memorial High School. He was a member of two CMAC championship teams, helping the Panthers to a CIF Division 2 State Championship in 2023. The forward earned the Best Defensive Player award in 2024-25 as well as picked up Coastal Catholic Classic MVP and Clovis West Nike Invitational All-tournament honors as a sophomore. As a junior, Spees averaged 14.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 block per game. He played for Jalen Green Elite.

"Parker is an exciting player who we view as having his best days of basketball ahead of him," Turner noted. "He possesses all the intangibles we look for in burgeoning young front court players that has made our program successful. Parker's skill and versatility are components that fit well within our team, and we look forward to his continued development as an Anteater. Parker comes from a great family and a high school program led by a coach with a track record of developing high-level players. We're excited to have Parker joining our program."
