Kelsey Texeira Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

IRVINE, Calif. --- CoSIDA released its Academic All-District squads Thursday recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom, and Kelsey Texeira made the grade in District VIII.
The fifth-year education sciences major is among 13 players chosen out of the West region of schools, and was joined by one other Big West member, Raisa Strom-Okimoto of Hawai'i. Texeira is the fourth Anteater all-time to be voted in joining Lexi Kopf (2011), Tanya Taylor (2010), and Natalie Franklin (2001).
Texeira will be on the Academic All-American ballot to be voted on by CoSIDA and released on November 22. She and the Anteaters continue their journey on the field with their final two matches of the regular season this week including the final home contest Friday, Oct. 28, searching for a Big West regular season title and tournament spot.
