Opened in 1999, the Anteater Aquatics Complex is home to the UC Irvine men’s and women’s water polo programs. This $2.8 million state of the art facility, utilized to develop All-Americans, National Champions, and Olympians, is comprised of a 210’ x 75’ pool large enough to accommodate two water polo matches concurrently, terraced seating for 750 spectators, quality Musco stadium lights, a Daktronics LED scoreboard, and a movable bulkhead.
This facility was built by Swinerton-Walberg and designed by Cannon-Parkin in association with Rowley International, Inc.

The Anteater Aquatics Complex pool is open for swimmers Monday-Friday, 11am-1pm through a membership with the UC Irvine Campus Recreation. UCI Campus Recreation offers a myriad of activities, including swimming, that embody core objectives related to campus and external community members. CLUBS AND EXTERNAL USERS
The Anteater Aquatics Complex is available for rent by clubs, schools, and community programs. Regular users include Newport Water Polo Foundation, Back Bay Water Polo, SoCal Water Polo, AquaZot Swim Club, Sage Hill School, Corona del Mar High School, CdM Aquatics Federation, Merage Jewish Community Center, UCI Sport Camps, and USA Water Polo.
